The TCL P80 Ultra's key feature is its 6.83-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness of up to 3200 nits. The screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and a special anti-reflective coating should make using the smartphone more comfortable in bright conditions. NXTPAPER technology is used inside, maintaining a paper-like finish without sacrificing the benefits of an OLED panel.
A dedicated NXTPAPER Key is provided for switching between modes. Pressing this button switches the smartphone to Max Ink Mode. This monochrome mode features a simplified interface with minimal distractions, specifically designed for e-reading. TCL claims that in this mode, the 5800 mAh battery can provide up to 7 days of active use or up to 26 days of standby time.
The TCL P80 Ultra is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Elite processor, complemented by 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The smartphone supports 45W wired charging and runs Android 16. The cameras include a 50MP main module and a large 1/1.56-inch sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera.Along with the Ultra, the company unveiled the TCL P80 Pro. It features a virtually identical 120Hz display, a Dimensity 7400 Elite processor, and a 5800 mAh battery, but lacks the telephoto lens. This means that OLED NXTPAPER technology is now available in two models in the lineup. The base TCL P80 is also included in the series. It's less expensive and lacks the signature NXTPAPER features.
TCL promises four years of operating system updates and seven years of security updates for the P80 Ultra and P80 Pro. Sales are already underway in Europe, where the TCL P80 Ultra is priced at €549 (~RUB 52,000), the P80 Pro starts at €429 (~RUB 41,000), and the base P80 starts at €349 (~RUB 33,000). The devices will be available in other regions later.
