PulseAnon — temporary anonymous chat without registration and SQL database PulseAnon is an experimental web project for random anonymous communication. The user selects Ukrainian, English or Russian language, starts the search and connects to a random interlocutor without creating an account. What the project is written in PulseAnon was developed using: - PHP 8.3; - HTML5; - CSS3; - Vanilla JavaScript; - Bootstrap 5; - Turbo Frames. The project does not use MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL or any other SQL database. Features - random search for an interlocutor by the selected language; - Ukrainian, English and Russian interfaces; - temporary text messages; - sending photos, videos and music; - attachment preview; - custom audio and video players; - full-screen photo viewing; - emoji panel; - message typing indicator; - sounds for incoming and sent messages; - vibration on supported devices; - smooth developer screensaver; — Interlocutor search animation; — responsive design for phones, tablets, and computers; — admin panel without an SQL database; — automatic cleaning of temporary rooms and files. How PulseAnon works For compatibility with regular and some free PHP hosting, the chat uses short background HTTP requests and does not require a constantly running WebSocket server. The search queue, active rooms, and messages are temporarily stored in secure JSON files with a write lock. After the conversation ends: — messages are deleted; — the temporary room is closed; — photos, videos, and music are deleted; — participant IDs are no longer valid. If the browser is closed abnormally, the remaining data is deleted by a separate automatic cleanup script. Requirements — PHP 8.3 or later; — fileinfo and json extensions; — ability to write to the storage folder; — Apache with .htaccess support or the document root directed to the public folder; — HTTPS for secure operation. Important PulseAnon is an experimental project. Before launching on a public site, you should check the security of service directories, configure HTTPS, automatic cleanup, download limits, and usage rules.
